The moment she uttered that, she was fairly surprised.

What am I saying? What’s this feeling inside me?

I should be alert and even cautious towards this child.

But why—Why do I feel so familiar around him?

“Aunty Huo,” Mo Ning directly greeted without a bit of embarrassment.
Unlike Lu Zhaoyang, Huo Yunting managed to inhibit the peculiar emotional reaction inside him as his brows raised to an intrigued height yet they shook like his heart.

 He reminds me of—Ran Ran.

Why? If Ran Ran was never kidnapped, will she have the same eyes as this boy? The same glow?

 Hah…

How embarrassing, I would have seized Mo Ning if he was not a man, thinking that he’s my daughter.

 “Welcome, feel yourself at home.”

“Thanks, Uncle Huo.” Mo Ning, upon the friendly invitation, smiled brightly like a child.

The truth was, not only Mo Ning sensed the fondness coming from Mr.
and Mrs.
Huo, Huo Run felt it too.

She knew her mother was the diplomatic kind but her father definitely was not.
Nevertheless, towards Mo Ning, her father was kind, strangely kind, even when under the eyes of many prestigious guests.
Huo Run also felt that her father treated Mo Ning more intimately than herself.
It was the woman’s instinct that rang inside her head.

Mo Ning took a glance at her glass again with her eyes shining in curiosity.

It’s time to do something, perhaps.

 She thought.

“When are we going to have our dance?” However, as heaven forbade, a man came with his cocky tone.
It was Yan Sinian, obviously.

He impatiently waited for the dance which never happened since no guest would initiate a dance before the hosts.

Huo Run realized that and passed look of a shrinking violet to Mo Ning, “Mo Ning, would you like to have a dance with me?”

Mo Ning’s eyes were filled with sheer annoyance when she checked out Yan Sinian snickering at the side.

And there she bowed, reaching out her hand like a posh gentleman from the socialites, “I should initiate this.
Miss Huo Run, would you let me have the honor to dance with you?”

“Of course.” Huo Run grabbed her hand immediately as Mo Ning gracefully led Huo Run towards her embrace.
Upon a nod from Huo Run’s parents, she brought Huo Run gliding to the center of the room.

 “What kind of dance?”

 “Waltz.
Is that okay?” Replied Huo Run.

 “Okay.”

A tip to the floor, Mo Ning’s legs moved magically—a majestic turn that shocked Huo Run nearly tripping herself.
Fortunately Mo Ning was more than just a dramatic turn as she grabbed Huo Run by the waist.

Huo Run adjusted her steps according to the swaying orchestra playing in the background, gradually following Mo Ning’s pace, “Geez, my heart literally skipped a beat.”

 “Don’t worry,” whispered Mo Ning.
Her voice contained a calming effect somehow, “I’ll lead you.” Her eyes were more calming to Huo Run, nonetheless.

Huo Run’s lips rubbed against each other as she felt she was flying in the dance for some reason.
She could not tell if it was because of the lively music, the feeling to have had overcome the challenging moves or the voice of Mo Ning.

“Mo Ning, you’re a great dancer.” She muttered.

Mo Ning’s brows raised in confusion, “I learned it a week ago.”

“Huh?” Huo Run’s jaws partially opened, “And yet you dance so well?”

“Is this really hard?” Mo Ning backed away and slid her one feet across, “As long as you remember the steps and the beats, it’s pretty easy actually.” She held Huo Run’s one hand to make her do a quick spin.

Mo Ning possessed both amazing muscle and mental memory.

She probably got it from her father who passed away since she was born.

Justifiable as her mother’s memory was not impressive.
