Two Many Deity

Intro

Eris: Aaron and I have fallen to Earth, but it looks so different than the last time I was here. It used to be a lovely place full of beautiful flowers, grasslands, animals, and all sorts of people, but now its barren. Everything is destroyed and the plant life is dead or at least dying. From all the rubble it looks like there was a small town here. Id like to look around some more, but I need to find Aaron. He should be nearby. There are some buildings still intact, Ill try looking in those. Such a shame, I bet this used to be a wonderful town.

Aaron: ”AHHHHHHHHHH!!! ”

Eris: ”Aaron! ”

Eris rushed towards the direction of Aarons scream. Frantically looking through deserted houses, alleyways, and dark crevasses, she searched for Aaron. Where is he? I have to find him, he could be in danger. Aaron where are you?

Aaron: ”Hey Eris, over here! ”

Eris: I found Aaron standing in the middle of a street. His weapon was drawn, but he shouldn be able to use it. But more importantly, hes standing over a demon corpse. Something red was in his hand, and theres somebody else laying on the ground.

Eris: ”Aaron, don run off like that. You had me worried. ”

Aaron: ”Sorry, Im just so excited to finally be able to see Earth after several millennia. I just couldn contain myself. ”

Eris: Mhmm, thats weird. ”Oh, I heard you scream? What happened, are you hurt? ”

Aaron: ”Huh, what are you talking about? Nobody screamed hear. But look, I killed a demon and got his heart. ”

Eris: ”What? But I… never mind. Thats great you got the heart but, why did you do that? ”

Aaron: ”Well we do need them right? ”

Eris: ”Well yeah, Dante wanted us to bury them. But you didn know that. ”

Aaron: *Whisper. ”Dante? ”

Eris: ”What? ”

Aaron: ”Oh, uhhh, I said why does Dante want us to bury them? ”

Eris: ”I don know, Angis didn have time to say. As soon as you started falling to Earth, Angis immediately sent me after you. He told me to tell you that we shouldn use our holy armors or weapons until we reach level three, whatever that means. And he also said something about finding an Ark. I don know, there was wind in my ears. Man, this is whole situation is crazy. ”

Aaron: ”Oh I see, and what about Dante? ”

Eris: ”All I know is that Angis said Dante needed us to bury them. I have no clue why though. ”

Aaron: ”I see. Ah question, who is Dante person again? I forgot, hehe. ”

Eris: ”What! You
e joking right? Dante, the former demon king, Lucifer? ”

Aaron: *GASP! LUCIFER?!

Eris: ”Whats wrong? Your face turned pale. ”

Aaron: ”Oh no no, I was just surprised. I just wasn expecting you to say Lucifer. If he wants us to bury these then we better hurry. Come on, I know a spot. ”

Aaron started nudging Eris towards a dark alley.

Eris: ”Wait, what about the person on the ground? ”

Aaron: ”They
e fine. We can worry about them later, but right now we need to bury this heart. ”

Eris began digging a deep hole in the dark alley.

Eris: Aarons acting a little weird, but then again when is he not? But it is a little odd that he decided to fight a demon without me. However, there was a person unconscious on the ground. Maybe they were in danger and he decided to defend them. Typical Aaron, hes always putting others first… hes always putting others first.

Eris halts her digging. She began feeling very uneasy. As if she was about to have a terrible realization.

Eris: Aaron pulled out the demons heart. He wouldn have done that unless he knew we needed it. And he forgot Dantes true name is Lucifer, but Lucifer is the most feared demon king. And not to mention, he completely abandoned that person in the road. I know Aaron, he would never do that. Hed risk his life if it meant he might be able to save someone.

Eris felt a dark aura looming over her.

Eris: ”Thats not Aaron! ”

Aaron: ”Fool! Die! ”

Eris: ”What?! ”

The heart disappeared from Eriss hands. She turned towards Aaron just to see a sword flying towards her throat. She tried to avoid it but…

Void Angel: ”Too slow! Now Die! ”

SSSSHICK!

Eris: ”What, Im alive. How? ”

Aaron: ”Eh, eh, ahh, *COUGH! Curse you, *gasp, you filthy angle! ”

Eris looks up at Aaron and sees him impaled through the chest with a stake, coughing up blood. Aarons face began to morph back to its original form. His black and almost hallow white eyes. His arms and legs are lengthly and skinny, as well as its humanoid form. Its skin was a pitch black, as dark as darkness itself. And the center of its chest was devoid of matter, instead was a swirling white and black void. This creature was not Aaron, it was a demon. A void angel.

Aaron: ”I guess Angis was wrong, void angels aren that smart. You shouldve killed me when you had the chance. Now die! ”

Aaron rips the stake out of the void angels chest. It turns around and tries to strike Aaron against the face, but Aaron dodges and smashes the stake against its head. Its face gets shattered as its body flies through a wall. Aaron collapses on a knee and Eris rushes to his aid.

Eris: ”Aaron, you
e ok. I thought… ”

*Flick

Eris: ”Ow! ”

Aaron: ”You idiot, what were you thinking! Do you know how dangerous that was? I know you had to notice the girl unconscious on the ground! You know I would never leave someone in that state! You were too careless and almost killed. You
e lucky that that thing simply put me in a hallucination instead of killing me. I almost couldn get out. ”

Eris: ”I-Im sorry. I shouldve noticed that something was wrong sooner. ”

Aaron: ”Well, theres no point in yelling at you now. You
e alive and thats what matters that matters to me. ”

Eris: *Sulk.

Aaron: ”Don give me that look. Im sorry I snapped ok. ”

Eris: ”No, its fine. I shouldve be more cautious. ”

Aaron: ”Well, Im also to blame. Im only standing here because that demon didn kill me. ”

Eris: ”Hmm. So, whats the plan now? ”

Aaron: ”First we need to wake up the girl. ”

Eris: ”What girl? ”

Aaron: ”The girl in the street. ”

Eris: ”Oh right. Well, lets go that. ”

*Crackle

Eris: ”Hmm? ”

Eris looked back into the dark alley.

Aaron: ”What wrong? ”

Eris: ”I thought… its nothing. Lets go. ”

Aaron and I went to revive the girl. She looked strange and smelled weird too. Her hair was bright grey with tinted black and she wore fur clothing. She smelled somewhat like a newborn kitten. Her nails were unusually long and very sharp. She started to wake up. Her dialect was very unusual. Who or what is she?

Aaron: ”Are you ok? ”

Girl: ”Neahhh! Ew! Hehehe! ”

Aaron: ”What? ”

Girl: *Sniff, sniff ”You smell really good. Just like an angel. ”

Aaron: ”Oh… thanks, I guess. ”

Girl: ”Welcome. ”

Eris: ”Whats your name? ”

Neku: ”I am Neku. Many thanks for saving me from that vile demon. I am in your debt. ”

Aaron: ”Glad to help. My name is Aaron and Im an… ”

Eris covers Aarons mouth and pulls him away from Neku before he can say anymore.

Eris: *Whisper ”What was that you were saying about being careful? You can tell her why we
e here. We don know her. ”

Aaron: *Whisper. ”Don worry. Wasn gonna tell her any of that. I was gonna ask is she had any information on Baren and Earth. ”

Neku: ” Ask Neku anything. ”

Aaron and Eris get startled by Nekus abrupt response.

Neku: ”Did Neku startle you. Funny, que que. Aaron saved Nekus life, so Nekus life is now Aarons, prrrrrirk. ”

Eris: ”You
e flying, how? What are you? ”

Neku: ”You want answer? Itll cost one Sin. ”

Aaron: ”What is a Sin? ”

Neku: ”A flower that bleeds red from blood of haunted dead. Holds great power, very rare. Now, Neku hungry. Need something to eat. ”

Aaron: ”Well, where can we find these Sins? ”

Neku: ”Heee. In Red Water Springs about two epochs North of here. ”

Aaron: ”Epoch? ”

Neku: ”Earth day in your tongue. Don you know this, yes?

Aaron: ”Well as you can guess, we
e not from here. We travel a lot. Travelers if you will. ”

Neku: ”Yes, traveled 150,000 hauls from the heavens. Down you went, but did not fly, why? Falling without wings must mean you are fallen angels. Hmmm, here to revive the old god perhaps? ”

Eris: ”Ok, Ive heard enough. Aaron lets go, I don trust her. ”

Neku: ”Hieeee! You leave Neku alone? But fallen angel saved Neku. Hisss! You wish me gone? ”

Aaron: *Whisper ”Hold on, anyone couldve seen us fall from Nirvana. ”

Eris: *Whisper ”Yeah, but the fact she just so happened to be nearby and was attacked by a demon is suspicious. I don trust her. ”

Neku: ”No need for your trust, just Masters. You angels smell evil? Shoo? ”

Eris: ”I don know, nor do I care. But the fact is we know nothing about you, and because of that you are a danger to us. ”

Neku: ”Yawn. Neku is tired, bring me flower if you want questions answered. ”

Eris: ”Yeah, no. Come on Aaron, weve got a job to do. Aaron? ”

Aaron: ”Hold on, I think we should look into this a little bit. ”

Eris: ”You can be serious! ”

Aaron: ”I am. If this flower, this Sin, grows from blood like Neku said then its possible this blood comes from humans. We can let it fall into the wrong hands, so for now I think we should work with Neku. Plus, Neku could have valuable information on our situation. ”

Neku: ”Yes, Neku knows many things. Like, Sin does not use any blood, haunted blood. The flower feeds on blood of the miserable dead. ”

Eris: ”But we don know anything about this world, or Neku. She could be leading us into a trap. ”

Aaron: ”I don think so. If she wanted us dead, I think shes more than capable of doing it herself in our current condition. ”

Neku: ”Master can ask Neku anything and get answer. It is she-devil who is angry and Neku not trust. She bring me the flower if she wants answer. Hissss! ”

Aaron: ”Wait, you
e saying youll answer all of my questions? ”

Neku: ”Si, but make quick. Neku is tired and very hungry. Need food. ” (Stomach rumbles).

Aaron: ”Ok, then first question. Where can I get you something to eat? ”

Eris: ”We don have time for this. ”

Aaron: *Ignore ”So, where can I find you some food? ”

Neku: ”Neku eats all sorts of plants, animals, and minerals. Ones filled with strong aura are best. Aura is sucked out and refilled over time, then sucked out again. Neku must be careful not to damage vessels or else aura capacity is decreased. A Sin would be great, but Masters blood should suffice. ”

Eris: ”NO! We are not doing that! ”

Neku: ”Nothing more than an guess. Don pay no mind, prrrrrr. ”

Aaron: ”Eris… ”

Eris: ”NO! We are not giving her any of our blood. She could be one of Barens spies for all we know. ”

Aaron: ”How can we be sure? ”

Eris: ”We can , and thats why Im not taking any chances. ”

Neku: ”Well, maybe you can. ”

Aaron and Eris looked at Neku with confusion.

Neku: ”Make a pact with Neku, Master. Make Neku your vassal and you the master, and Neku will obey your every wish. You
e very caring and kind, so you I don mind. ”

Eris: ”Oh no, that will not happen. ”

Aaron: ”Alright, lets do it. ”

Eris: ”You can be serious! ”

Aaron: ”Why not. I don think shes lying, and we need as many people as we can get anyway. And as of right now, we don have the manpower nor options. Im known to be a good judge of character, and I don think Neku is a bad person. Besides, if her and I enter into a subservient contract then she has to do whatever I say without question. ”

Eris: ”Geez, sometimes I just can believe you. But, once youve made your mind up on something theres no changing it. If you really think Neku can be trusted, then Ill trust your judgement. But, know Ill be keeping a close eye on her, so don make me regret this. ”

Aaron: ”Thanks Eris. Alright Neku, lets get you something to eat. ”

Neku: ”Aku! Whats the food? ”

Aaron: ”Well, Im not going to give you my blood, but I will give you some of my divine aura. But unfortunately, my divine aura resides in my divine weapon, which I can summon on my own. ”

Neku: ”Hnnhnn. Not on your own. Give me your hand. ”

Aaron reached out his hand to Neku. She grabbed it and his hand began to glow and his sword began to form in his hand.

Aaron: ”Woah, thats incredible! H-how are you doing that? ”

Neku: ”Spatial magic is specialty. Master of the void Neku is. ”

Aaron: ”Thats good to know. Alright Neku, go ahead and bite down. ”

Neku: ”Prrrrrirk! Thank you! Hold still, Master! ”

Neku bit onto the sword. The power rushed through her body as her skin began to illuminate. Her appearance began to change. Her hair changed from grey to a bright silver, her fur clothing acquired a shine to it, and she grew a pair of feline characteristics.

Neku: ”YAHHHHH HUUH HUUH! This aura, feels incredible! KIYA! ”

Aaron: ”W-what are to you? ”

Neku: ”My true form. Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Neku. Neku The Fortunate, hehe. ”

Eris: ”The Fortunate, what does that mean? ”

Neku: ”Its the title given to me at birth by my clans queen. All of my people are given one. She gives us our names depending on the future she sees for us. I was given this title because great fortune is to be my fate. ”

Aaron: ”Ok, so why is it just now you are able to awaken your true form? ”

Neku: ”Ive been living for many years on my own. Its been extremely difficult, especially because Im a spirit. ”

Eris: ”Wait, you
e a spirit? ”

Neku: ”Yes. Ive been wandering the plains for centuries, barely scraping by on what little food I could find. I couldn sustain my true form, so I was forced to regressed to save energy. But, devolving tends to be dangerous for my kind. As you just saw, doing so makes us very weak. I wouldn have regained my power if Aaron wasn so kind. I thank you Aaron, truly. I am in your debt. ” *Bows head.

Aaron: ”Don mention it. You can pay me back by answering some of my questions. ”

Neku: ”Ill do more than that. Hold still. A gift for my Master. ”

Neku grabbed Aarons face and pulled it close. She pressed her lips onto his. He felt a surge of power rush throughout his body, as if he was struck by lightning.

Aaron: ”AHHHHHHHHHHH! ”

Aaron shrieked in a horrendous bellow. His cry echoing through the deserted town deafening all those who heard it.

Eris: ”AARON! Get away from him! ”

Eris knocked Neku to the ground and rushed to Aarons defense.

Eris: ”Aaron, are you ok?! ”

Neku: ”Transformation complete. Congratulations master. ”

Eris: ”Transformation? What did you do to him you… ”

Aaron: ”E-Eris. ”

Eris: ”Aaron, you ok? ”

Aaron gripped his head as a sharp and agonizing pain rummaged through it. He could barely keep himself from collapsing to the ground.

Aaron: ”My body feels like its on fire… and my head feels like its about to explode. ”

Eris: ”What is happening to him? Explain, now Neku! ”

Neku: ”I gave Master a gift. ”

Eris: ”What are you talking about? ”

Neku: ”Master, look into this mirror.

Neku picked up a piece of broken window glass and held it infant of Aaron for him to see his reflection. Aaron looked at his reflection and was shocked by what he saw.

Neku: ”See now? ”

Aaron: ”What did, you do to me? ”

Neku: ”This is my gift to you, Master. You
