Women were most sensitive to weight and age.
Moreover, hadn’t Jiang Xuecheng been thinking she was too skinny?

He was using this to tease her.

Su Wan was unwilling to show weakness and so rebutted, “You’re heavier than I am.
If the chain broke because of weight, your responsibility is much bigger than mine!”

Jiang Xuecheng smiled as he caressed Su Wan’s hair.
Both of them gazed at one another and after a while, they both laughed.

Actually, banter between them was very interesting.

Jiang Xuecheng pushed the bicycle while Su Wan walked beside him.
Both of them decided to walk back to the place they rented the bike and tell them about the quality of the bicycles.

If every tourist who rented the bicycles were as unfortunate as they were and encountered the broken chain just after several hundred meters, then the tourists would not be in a good mood!

After hearing Su Wan’s and Jiang Xuecheng’s feedback, the person in charge of the bicycle promised he would check the performance of the bicycles in the future and ensured that it would not happen again.

Both of them had originally planned to go hiking but now, lacking transportation, they had decided to take a stroll along the street and visit the roadside shops along the way instead.

As Beitong promoted ‘returning to the slow-paced life, experiencing the ancient culture’, the shops along the roadside sold antique handicrafts.

Jiang Xuecheng was not interested in delicate handicrafts but because Su Wan wanted to shop, he accompanied her patiently to each shop.

After Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng walked out of an antique calligraphy and painting shop, in the blink of an eye, they went into a small gift shop next door.

The shop owner was a middle-aged woman.
As Beitong was in its trial operation period, not many people visited the shops.
So, when she saw someone visiting, she came up to them immediately in a friendly manner.

“Hello, handsome and pretty.
At one glance, I know you’re a couple.
Would you like to take a look at our new pair of jade rings? The quality and the sculpture are excellent!”

Su Wan was not used to the friendliness of the shop owner.
Her eyes swept across that pair of jade rings.
At first glance, the green of the jade was shocking and she could see that they were inferior man-made products.

Su Wan smiled stiffly as she shook her hands.
“No, thank you.
We wish to look around ourselves.”

The lady shop owner skimmed through Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng.
These two people were exquisite in appearance and dressing and at one glance, she knew they were from a rich family.
If she was able to convince them to buy something, she might make a great deal of business today.

However, this good-looking pair looked familiar…

Had she seen them before?

The lady shop owner gave a puzzled smile and for a moment, forgot to continue promoting the pair of jade rings.

Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng walked into the deepest part of the shop.
Her eyes landed on a simple wooden pendant tied to the gift rack with a red string.

The wooden pendant was dark coffee in color and it was merely the size of half a small palm.
The most eye-catching was the poetry carved on the pendant.

‘May I be like the stars and you, the moon; May we shine brightly every night.’

Su Wan was a person who liked ancient poetry.
She couldn’t help picking up the wooden pendant.

When she turned over, she saw on the other side of the pendant several words: ‘To Be United Forever’.

The elegant font moved Su Wan.
