Chapter 211 – Let’s borrow Eve’s power!!

The earth is being planed by the Hipopo Brothers’ hooves, looking like the sped up version of a coast being eroded by waves.

But unlike waves, they leave a cloud of dust and a mountain of earth and sand.

I walk to the nearest building while watching the Hipopo Brothers work, put my left hand on the wall, and call out to it.

“Activate 『Backdoor』.
『Long-Distance Connection』, 『Awake』 Eve.”

It happens in a second.
A branch growing out of the nodes in the bamboo wall starts changing shape, and drops.
I catch it with my gloved right hand.

What I’m holding is a miniature separate body of Eve, and small arms and legs sprout from this small bamboo shoot.

“It looks like it went well.
Hello Eve.”

I actually just recently implemented this way to call for a separate body of Eve from a long-distance.

It’s something I discovered while looking for 『Points』 and 『Boxes』 for Seilook.
I think it’s only part of the system that controls the root of this world.

Being able to come into contact with it was an incredibly significant experience for an alchemist like me.
I used this knowledge to insert a long-distance activation mechanism through a backdoor in the system controlling Putaresque, and it appears to be working.

“I’m sorry, I know you just woke up, but please create more separate bodies and deal with the sand.”

Eve shakes its small limbs, and then brings its legs together and salutes with one of its arms.

And then, a portion of the ground in front of me begins to swell, and what bursts out of it is another bamboo sprout.
It quickly grows into about the size of a child, sprouts arms and legs, and pulls itself from the ground.

As if being signaled by this, more bamboo sprouts come out from the ground one after the other.
They also grow, sprout limbs, and pull themselves out.

They all line up in front of the miniature Eve in my hand.

It’s a pretty imposing sight, when all I can see is bamboo shoots.
They kind of look like an army when they’re so neatly lined up.

Now that I think about it, the people behind me are very quiet.
Apparently they’re all at a loss for words at the impact of the Hipopo Brothers and the bamboo shoots that suddenly appeared and started moving.

I feel kind of bad for shocking them this much, and at the same time give instructions to the miniature Eve on the palm of my hand.
It raises its small hand, and the bamboo shoots move to dispose of the sand and earth.

I watch as it all gets cleaned up.

I see the space where the monster repelling magic circle is written has been cleaned up nicely by the bamboo shoots, and confirm that it’s been well evened out.

There’s another, more important reason why I called out Eve.
Since Eve is always connected to the magic circle to take in magic elements from it, I can use that connection in reverse to repair the magic circle.
