Why is my apartment is so far? from the hospital? I really need to earn more credits and live to the city

*Haaa* I exhaled.

There are many people trying to watch how chosens will solve the demonic beast outbreak. They are just here to admire chosens.

I pass my way through and hurriedly come to my room. Several people can also be seen in the hallway, probably residents here. I ignore them and didn care about them. I only mind myself.

I slided my ID in the right side of the door and It automatically creaked open.

I grabbed an expansion bag and put in my things. Honestly I didn have anything that have values on me except for the uniform of Edrodorth Academy and the red book my parents got.

I hid the book in a secret drawer. Don mind my habits, I am just afraid that the book will be stolen even if there are no writings inside. I put it inside the tank of the toilet bowl. After sorting things out, I immediately run back outside.

Peoples commotion can be heard in every corner outside the perimeter of the outbreak when a loud voice resounded.

”Thats the A ranked chosen Lucas Morgaux! We

”Wow! Thats the Moon Goddess Fia! ”

”I heard shes C ranked and shes only 17! ”

Inside the portable headquarter laid down by the Blue Quartz Guild, an exquisite female person is sitting reading a book. Her cold face match with her white grey eyes makes people look in awe. She is Fia Quinteval, the youngest daughter in Quinteval Family which is subsidiary of Elpizo Guild.

”Miss, the outbreak will start in 2 minutes, please get ready ” the man in the suit standing at the back of Fia muttered.

”John, just report if I ask you anything. ” annoyed, Fia replied. John is the butler assigned by her family to protect her.

”Your father is just concerned Miss, This is your first demonic beast raid after all ”

”Isn the leader of demonic beast just a C rank? I can handle that much ”

”But Miss- ” the butler wants to refute but he heard the heavy voice of the person sitting in front of her.

”Get. Out. ” Fia said in a cold voice.

The butler have no choice but to stand outside the tent.

”Ha Ha Ha John, I actually guess that you will be shoo by Miss Fia ” Lucas laughed towards the butler after seeing him stepped out of the tent.

”At least Im not the first to be thrown out ” John muttered.

Lucas smiled bitterly at the butlers response.

After I escaped in the swarm of people. I went to a shop in a corner of Immussilus City. This city is bustling because it is where the black market is located.

Giyacenth is the name of the shop I work from 2pm to 7pm. This is where I work part time, it have less customers but they paid high thanks to my unique and effective service.

e back! ” a voice greeted me.

”Uncle Nicolas, have any of the customers came back? ” I said in anticipation. I really need customers because they are the source of my income except for the beast cores my parents left behind.

Uncle Nicolas is the shop owner of Giyacenth. He is a trusted friend of my father. I was hired out of pity but because of my skills, the shop become more flourish than before and uncle Nicolas built me my own research room.

”There is one but… ” uncle Nicolas answered.

”Whats the matter? ” I asked.

”Its better for you to see ” Nicolas guided me into my research room and there lay a staff that mages commonly used. It is purple in color and have a magical carvings around the magic orb at the top of the staff. If Im not wrong, based on its aura, this is an A ranked artifact.

”This magic staff is the one that the son of Governor of Immussilus city uses. He just have a battle and wishes to fix the artifact in two weeks. ”

I was slightly shocked after I heard him. This is the first time a high profile figure become my customer.

Giyacenth shop sells weapons and provides services to the problems of chosens regarding their artifacts in exchange of high amount of credits. This part time job is quite decent because I have my own workplace. I tired myself here everyday cracking my brain in different kinds of theories and magic blueprints to create artificial artifacts for chosens.

Im just good at ideas, I can make my ideas come into life or sell it because it will cause an uproar in human domain. An F- rank like me is no different from a normal soldier. In case a powerful person finds out about me, me and my sister is doomed. Humans are greedy. They will most likely steal my revolutionary idea, no, they will definitely steal it.

”Its easy to fix this, just repair it using high grade purple crystal and Kokkhino gold wood. Get me the materials, say to the customer that the staff will be ready in a week. ” I said in a tired voice. Seeing my workplace makes me excited and tired at the same time.

”You
e really genius Cal, one look and you can determine whats the problem and what materials that will be needed ” uncle Nicolas spoke in amazement. ”Ill be back in an hour ” he hurriedly search for the materials.

I continued to observe the magic staff. I can only just admired artifacts because of its rarity. Powerful chosens can only have them unless your family is rich like the son of the governor of Immussilus city. Because of the magic staff, he became arrogant calling himself a prodigy and battle with powerful magicians, little did he know that he overestimated the artifact.

The magic staff Im holding is degraded one lower in its true rank. While its aura is about A rank, minority of the nodes in the magic circles are not properly connected. It needs atleast A ranked mage and they need to learn a tier 4 spells for it to be completely fixed.

After an hour, uncle Nicholas is back with the right amount of materials.

I took the materials and start arranged it. I started to write instructions on what part needs to fix and the right amount mixture will be put. Half an hour passed and I finally finished making instructions.

I called uncle Nicolas and passed the paper embedded with step by step directions, he then started to do his work.

I can personally fix the staff cause I don have enough mana and control over it so he does all the work. I just provide right instructions. After giving the papers to uncle Nicolas, I fix the things inside my research room and closed the door. I walked towards the exit of the shop and a familiar noise entered my ear.

The Immussilus city is bustling with city lights and peoples talking. I went to the train station. This train station is located 30 meters above the ground and have an independent airline road. It provides free service for students at any academy.

I slided my ID and sat in the corner of the train. High Technology are common in this world because of the sudden increase in mana. It allows scientists to further improve the machines that are used in the past and inventing new machines.

While thinking on how to earn credits before the months due bill of my sister, a female voice echoed through the train.

”E37 Train will stop in the Trouven Station for 10 minutes, Next destination is Hayston Station, Happy travels!. ” Every city in the human continent have its own station making the humans more connected than ever. I walked down and continue to move my feet until Im in the hospital where my sister is confined.

I passed trough hallway and stopped at a certain room. My sister can be found lying in a bed, like an angel sound asleep. I sat down at the corner as usual. Seeing the condition of my sister gives me motivation to not give up. I need to hurry and get stronger.

I have no choice but to sell the book…

After pondering for a long time, I made up my mind to sell the mysterious book.

I stood up and get the expansion bag. I pushed the botton on it and the bag automatically expanded then I took the book inside my bag.

Upon touching the red book, it suddenly floats caughting me off guard. It gives a faint glow making it majestic and spin rapidly while it open.

What is this? I didn do this I panicked before the scene happening above my head. I can feel a powerful mighty aura from it.

The red book shrinks and moved into my body. I got startled. I thought I was gonna die.

What a powerful aura… Its scary… my mouth twitched. I open my bag finding the red book again because I thought Im so tired that I started seeing things but then I heard a female voice inside my head.

[System rebooting… Fusing… 100%… Successful]
