When we passed through the dome of mana, there was…a normal forest.

Its appearance was no different from the surroundings.

No, there was something that was not the same.

For some reason, there was a house.

It wasn’t a stately mansion or anything like that, it was a normal house made out of wood.
It was bigger than the houses in town.
And,  much more beautiful than the orphanage.

Why was there a house here???

When I used mana detection within the dome, there was a reaction from a living creature.
There were multiple responses and among them, there was one that was next to the house.
The others came from within the house. 

When I tried looking at the area beside the house where the response was coming from, it seems that there was someone next to a tree.
It didn’t seem that big, so perhaps it was a woman or a child?

As I was worrying about what I should do, whether I should call out to them or approach them, Miu broke out into a run once again.

Even though I had scolded it just now!!

Miu approached that person and ran around them.
It seems that that person was surprised by Miu who had suddenly appeared.

After running several laps around them, Miu stopped, and walked closer to that person.

Perhaps they were too surprised, as that person stiffened.

It was good that Miu was not attacked, but if it was careless, it might be attacked just by approaching them, so I needed to caution it.

「Miu, come back!! The person over there, are you alright~!?」

I called out to them in a loud voice so that they could hear me.

Perhaps Miu had heard me, as it ran back to me.

That person was still unmoving.

I warned Miu, who had come back, to not suddenly approach strangers, and walked toward that person.

「Um~, are you ok?」

I called out to the person who was as stiff as a board.

That person was a girl who was about the same age as me.

「W, who?」

The girl asked me this, though she was trembling.

「Err, I’m Shuu.
And, this Horned Rabbit is Miu, and the Grey Wolf is Queen.
Also…ah!!」

Pii-chan, who I had completely forgotten, was still surveying the area in the sky.

I tried calling it using telepathy, but I could not communicate with it.
Perhaps it was cut off by the dome?

It couldn’t be helped, so I decided to have Queen call it over.

「Queen, sorry, but can you go call Pii-chan?」

「Woof」

Queen barked and ran toward the dome’s boundary.

I turned around to face the girl.

「Sorry, there is a Little Eagle outside.
Its name is Pii-chan.」

Hearing my self-introduction, the girl slowly replied.

「I, I am…Sakuya.」

「Sakuya-chan, huh~, um, does Sakuya-chan live here? Is there someone in the house?」

「U, un, I live with ojii-chan and obaa-chan….」

TN: ojii-chan and obaa-chan are grandpa and grandma, not to be confused with oji-chan and oba-chan, who are uncle and aunt. 

As we were having such a conversation, a voice could be heard coming from the house.

「Sakuya~, did something happen~?」

And, the one who came out of the house was probably the ojii-san.
I assumed that because he did not have the appearance of an elderly person, and was a thin man with well-defined muscles.
His face was that of an ojii-san, but his body was much sturdier than the adventurers from town.

「Who, is this boy?」

「Um, nice to meet you, I am named Shuu.
And, this child is Miu and there are two more outside….」

「Woof!!」

What good timing, the two of them returned.

「Ah, the Grey Wolf over there is Queen and the Little Eagle is Pii-chan.」

「A tamer, huh? How rare.
So, how did you come here? There is a barrier, so normally, you shouldn’t be able to come in though.」

A barrier!? Then, that dome was a barrier?

「Um, I used mana detection, and after sensing that something was being concealed using mana and investigating it, it turned out like this.」

「Mana detection, huh, how admirable, for a human.」

For a human???

Curious, I used Appraisal and was surprised.
Ojii-san as well as the girl were not humans….
