The female ghost hugged her baby and slid back smoothly into the mirror. 

She Jue took off the prop gloves that were placed in a partition, as he turned to look at Gu Yanshu, “Not bad, you can hit the three high notes [1] so easily.
This scream is rather good.”

Gu Yanshu’s tiny face was already ashen.  

He pushed Shen Jue and walked out of the cubicle.
He noticed that the corner of the bathroom had lit up, and there was an outline of a door. 

Gu Yanshu seemed to want to prove that he really wasn’t scared. 

Without any hesitation, he pushed the door open. 

However, once he pushed it open, a skeleton in a medical coat and bleeding from his face pouched out, almost hitting Gu Yanshu’s face.

Gu Yanshu instinctively retreated a step back, and fell into Shen Jue’s embrace. 

And immediately pushed him away. 

Shen Jue asked, “Do you want to walk first?” 

Gu Yanshu remained frozen on the spot.

Shen Jue asked again, “Then, I’ll go first?” 

Gu Yanshu’s face was impassive, “Mmm.” 

“Sure,” Shen Jue chuckled softly, “Then you’ll follow behind me to protect me.” 

As he said it, he stood in front of Gu Yanshu and kicked that skeleton away.
He then shielded Gu Yanshu as they walked forward. 

This room should be a laboratory; it was filled with frightening skeletons and rotting human specimens. 

And it was filled with traps everywhere.
When they were careless for a moment, a leg, an arm, or even a cracked skull would fall from the ceiling. 

Fortunately, Shen Jue was blocking him in front, so all of these things didn’t touch Gu Yanshu at all. 

Gu Yanshu followed behind Shen Jue obediently, but the distance between them increasingly shortened. 

It was only till they reached the entrance of the lab that they picked up something that resembled a diary. 

Gu Yanshu bent down to pick it up. 

Instantly, the room was shrouded in red light, and the alarms rang.
The specimens that weren’t moving initially became alive and rushed towards them.
Among them, the fastest one had already caught Gu Yanshu’s shoulder. 

Gu Yanshu’s face instantly paled. 

Shen Jue turned and hit the ghost’s hand away, then dragged Gu Yanshu and ran outside.

Gu Yanshu was simply dragged along, and the diary was still in his hand. 

The group of specimens continued chasing them. 

However, the door in front of them was locked with a code. 

Shen Jue shouted, “Look at the diary quickly and find out what the passcode is!”

“Alright.” 

Gu Yanshu read it as he ran. 

“The Diary of the chemistry teaching assistant

I like all things that are beautiful, and I want to make them into specimens. 

There’s a new girl who just transferred over.
She’s a loner but she’s beautiful, and I like her a lot. 

She seems to be constantly bullied.
I’ve seen her cry alone in the classroom, and I consoled her then. 

I think I’m in love with her. 

Today is 23rd September, her eighteenth birthday.
I am preparing a present for her.“

Beep, beep, beep, beep. 

Four quick clicks, and Shen Jue pulled Gu Yanshu as they hid into the room and closed the door shut, managing to lock the specimen closest to them outside. 

Just a little bit more, and it would probably have come in.
