It's no surprise that concussion in sport is an area nutrition intervention plays an important role. With the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), the American Medical Society for Sports and Medicine (AMSSM) and the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) all having position statements addressing sports-related concussion, RDNs must understand how to work with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes of these athletes.
