The Food and Nutrition Department at University of Iowa Healthcare has successfully completed a quality improvement malnutrition documentation initiative. Dietitians at UI Healthcare have facilitated changes to the electronic health record that effectively and efficiently improved clinical documentation of malnutrition. Results have led to exciting new opportunities for inpatient and outpatient dietitians.
