Current research suggests that almost one third of females with type 1 diabetes admit to unhealthy weight control practices. Borderline personality and negative avoidant coping skills are common in type 1 diabetes and eating disorder behaviors. This session will address the complex issues associated with type 1 diabetes and eating disorders and treatment strategies to help improve their outcomes.
