This presentation will focus on protein recommendations and protein supplementation to enhance muscle growth and strength for sports nutrition as well as focusing on the psychological processes that occur in an athlete as they move from the practice to competitive arena and how the process can influence the outcome of the performance.
List the evidence base underlying protein recommendations for athletes
Describe the role of protein intake in regulating muscle size and strength in sports nutrition
Analyze the impact of psychological processes on the performance of an athlete based upon a theoretical framework that supports efficiency as a marker of elite performance
