This presentation will provide a perspective of the historical view of the disciplines of Nutrition and Food Science, the current status of both disciplines, and the 'gap' between the disciplines. While focusing on bridging these identified ''gaps,'' the lecture will attempt to close in on a focus of what the future of the disciplines will hold.
