Pursuing a successful career in dietetics today involves marketing your unique brand and image. From your friends and school contacts, to professional interest groups and social media connections, these days it's not only what you know but who you know and how you are perceived. This session will offer tips on uniquely marketing yourself, so you can confidently build a successful brand in today's marketplace. Planned with the Student Advisory Committee (SAC).
Define personal branding and image in the marketplace.
Identify opportunities, tools and resources for students and new grads to develop their own brand and image. These resources include traditional methods such as in-person networking and evolving technological methods such as LinkedIn and Twitter.
Demonstrating how branding and image lead to job opportunities.

A panel of distinguished, media savvy RDNs will discuss the pros and cons of social media as part of an overall marketing strategy for private practice.
