This session examines a highly successful school and family-focused program to manage weight and improve health in a high risk Mexican-American population. In each of the past eight years eighty percent of the study adolescents lost or maintained weight, and two-thirds kept it off over two years. Data exploring the B-modification, physical education, and snacking portions of the study are examined and a deep look at the government's 'What America Eats' survey will explore snacking patterns.
