A university-based entrepreneurial practice is a viable model for RDNs to provide multi-level nutrition services to young adults at a critical stage of their development. Covered services are
provided to the greater community in a variety of specialty areas including food allergies and intolerances, eating disorders, and risk factor management. The model also provides opportunities
to leverage collaborative relationships to include sport nutrition and healthy dining interventions.
Describe the business model of a university-based entrepreneurial practice including coverage and reimbursement for MNT for the university and greater community populations.
Identify strategies to expand fee-based services in five specialty areas: food allergies and intolerances, eating disorders, sport nutrition, risk factor management, and healthy dining.
Identify strategies to leverage collaborative relationships with Dining, Student Health, Athletics, and health promotion researchers to integrate group, community, and environmental-level
services into the business model.
